BT/UK Youth Parliament Seen and Heard 3

A collection of stories about young people making a real difference

We are delighted to launch the new edition of Seen and Heard. This year, we have built on the success of the first two editions with even more inspiring case studies which demonstrate the positive difference that young people can make. Beverley Hughes MP, Minister for Children, Young People and Families, highlights in her foreword the wide range of initiatives that have brought about positive change and comments ‘they all have one thing in common: an undeniable determination to be heard.’ She continues ‘ Seen and Heard 3 reminds us all to take the time to listen to young voices and to follow example in changing things for the better. We’re better when we’re listening.’

The latest edition of Seen and Heard is an interesting read for both adults and young people with facts, figures and 15 amazing case studies from young people across the UK. The potential of young people with focused minds is immense, download Seen and Heard 3 and get inspired!

BT/UK Youth Parliament Seen and Heard 2004

A collection of stories about young people making a real difference

Seen and Heard 2 is a great follow up to the highly successful collection of case studies launched in 2003. They illustrate the positive role young people can play in their local communities when they succeed in making their voices heard.

Case studies include the story of a group of pupils who took the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child all the way to Africa; how one school has broken the vicious cycle of bullying and how one young person rallied support for Fair Trade.

A collection of stories about young people making a real difference

Seen and Heard is a collection of case studies which illustrate the positive role young people can play in their local communities when they succeed in making their voices heard - often against the odds.

These case studies challenge the perception of young people as self-focused individuals and presents them as determined, committed members of society whose voices not only count but have made a demonstrable difference to our world.
