The Big Breakfasts took place around the country
during the Big Listen week
One of the 2005 Big Breakfasts
Young people made the most of their opportunity
to discuss items such as facilities in their area, the portrayal
of young people in the media, access to healthy food and community
safety. Open debate amongst the Minister for Sport Richard
Caborn, Commissioner for Children Al Aynsley-Green, Cllr Mike
Storey, Minister for Social Justice Edwina Hart, sports personality
Robbie Earle and many others has given us much to think about
and act upon. In total, six Big Breakfasts were held as
part of the Big Listen week. To capture all the amazing
information and ideas that were discussed, we
published a summary of the events, which you can download opposite.
All the Big Breakfasts were connected to the
theme of Big Listen 2005, the Big Question, in order to enable young people to articulate the questions that are important to them. Click below to find out more about each Big Breakfast:
Don't forget, any time of year is a good time to hold your own Big Breakfast! Why not give young people an opportunity to discuss the things that matter to them with the adults who can help them make change?
